As long as you keep the original light fixtures and put them back before you move out, the options are limitless! You can typically switch out many of the fixtures without too much difficulty.
3. Upgrade your hardware.
Hardware – like handles and knobs – can be incredibly inexpensive and a great way to freshen up your kitchen cupboards. Remember to keep the old ones and put them back before you leave though!
4. Try using wall decals instead of paint.
There are so many decals available these days which makes life a breeze! You don’t have to worry about painting and then having to repaint before you move from your home. These peel and stick options leave next to no residue!
5. Fill the home with furniture that you love!
Since you don’t have to worry about saving for an emergency bathroom flooding, you might be able to afford some new furniture! Invest in pieces that are long lasting, and versatile. That way you can make the best of your home!
At the end of the day, keep a positive mindset about living in a rental property! There are tons of things you can do to make it comfortable and make it your own! You just have to use your imagination a little bit.
